*Talonzi suggested that I draw a gryphon for our trade, and at first I was going to draw a traditional one, but then I thought that since I had never drawn a lesser known gryphon before, that I should just draw something kinda...
odd.
So I asked ~SpottedDeer to name a bird and a cat, and then I made a gryphon out of that

so uh, Siamese cat and Florida scrub jay, plus oryx horns.

The coloring on the wings are off because I couldn't find a photo of a scrub jay's wing underside... :[

um anyways

prismacolor markers and microns and sharpies
on cardstock

I can't draw gryphons to save my life, but the idea of mixing two animals like you have done is a really good one.

Nice, though the random animals sorta seem at odds with one another, not completely blended but the horns make it better. I like your shading and inking alot.

LOL...I knew this would be totally wicked awesome! And it's the most original griffon I've seen as well! Totally awesome design, and I really like the horns on his head 8D Love the feathers on the elbows as well! :+favlove:

This was an awesome, pleasant shocker! The Scrub Jays (Western/Floridian) are some of my favorite birds! I :heart: it! :) I love how you always give creatures such detail. And as always, your anatomy never ceases to amaze me. I can only hope that my half will be as awesome :D
