so much fun.
first order of business:
I got my tattoo
It looks EXACTLY like the art I did. Wow, Thomas, you are astounding
so here's the long story:
This tattoo is about a couple of different things, all surrounding one little eevee stuffed toy that I own.
so yeah I was your average 90s kid, I grew up on pokemon when they were total crack for kids. I was obsessed with them, I went to the local BAM to battle every week, played all the games, watched the show, collected the toys, etc. Once while shopping with my mom I stumbled upon an eevee stuffed toy.
I don't know exactly why, since at the time I don't think eevee was my absolute favorite, but I BEGGED my mom for this toy. She bought it, just because, and from then on it became my absolute favorite stuffed animal. (Now understand, i've had 500+ stuffed animals in my life... so yeah.) I carried it with me everywhere, pretended it was real, etc. (I was 8 at the time.)
So I was playing with it outside one day and I was being stupid as usual and I dropped it
down the storm drain
and I cried like I had lost a pet.
holy shit I criiied.
we kinda went on a mission to get another one, but
basically this eevee was like the last one pretty much anywhere local of its kind,
and so my mom called my aunt in washington and got her to search everywhere there too
on christmas I got a package from her, and it was a brand new eevee
I made up a story about how it was the son of the one that had fallen down the drain
and called him Eebee Jr.
this new eevee took up its father's place. I never traveled without him. I cut his fur into tufts. I married him to my TY chihuahua. My nickname became eevee, and stayed eevee even after i stopped playing the card game, for about up until highschool. Its what my family called me. I don't even think my brother called me by my actual name for like, months at a time.
When I got older I made up a story about how Eebee Jr. was going through a divorce and got some piercings and turned hardcore.
so yeah. That's the story. It made perfect sense to me to get something that was such a big part of my life tattooed on my body.
The tattoo was a gift for losing 40 pounds.
and honestly the people who say 'you'll regret this when you're older'
are just the people who don't bother to understand before they judge
(and people too afraid to have fun with their bodies)
everything's permanent
tattoos are just more visible.
second order:
I saw Say Anything in concert
best show of my life
ef I love you, Max
I also saw Jay Brannan live
uh second best show of my life
I love Jay
